If you missed it, Ani DiFranco and many others joined folk music legend
Pete Seeger as he celebrated his 90th birthday this past May with an
unforgettable night of music at New York’s Madison Square Garden in
support of the environmental organization that he founded more than 40
years earlier: the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, created by Seeger to
bring awareness to the importance of protecting the Hudson River and
other natural resources.
More than 40 artists, including Ani, fellow RBR artist Toshi Reagon,
Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, and others performed songs inspired
by Seeger’s music and activism.

Square Garden, which premieres on PBS’s Great Performances (check pbs.org or your local listings for air times in your market). A preview and clips are available online here.
